Just flying
Hello All... it's been awhile since my last update. That's because nothing has really been going on, unfortunately.
I've just been flying and going to school. The weather has been somewhat good and somewhat bad, and thus it has been slightly slow this August.
I don't mind the slow-down ... it has given me a slight breather. However, I wouldn't mind it picking up again in the future.
That's about it for now - I'll post again when I have a neat story or some real material.

Manchester Fly-in Breakfast
Well, another Manchester Fly-In is in the books and it was a great success once again. I do not have an official airplane count, but there was constant traffic and many different aircraft for the public to check out.
I gave airplane rides from approximately 7:30 a.m. until about 1:00 p.m. It was a great day and I managed to make back my costs for the airplane! What more can a guy ask for? Donating my time is not a problem for me.
Our airport is really getting some great exposure now and I think that is important in the long run. The public is starting to realize the value of having an airport as well as understand what all of this "aviation stuff" is about.
Looking forward to more great events in '07..

Boating
Well, I've added yet another toy to my "List of Toys I Must Have" - a boat. I went boating (not for the first time, but haven't done it in a long time) with a student of mine Friday evening on Lake Delhi. What a great way to get away from everything and enjoy other activities (there are other things besides flying - but not many).
There was some type of Christmas celebration going on (Christmas in July?) and that was kind of neat to see the decorations that some of the people put up. I was hoping to have some pictures, but we really didn't take many because we were having too much fun looking around. Oh - and I did get to drive, too.
Heading down to the Amanas tomorrow for a small, one day "vacation".
